The creation and design of a 'logo' is a very important part of graphic design, and is considered one of the most difficult to perfect. Your logo your should be the embodying image of your business or organization. Because your logo is meant to represent your brand or corporate identity and instill immediate customer recognition, it can be counterproductive to frequently change your logo.... so lets get it right first time.
