Our GCart shopping cart solution is a bolt-on for our Option C Web Hosting service, allowing you to add a full on-line shopping facility on your web site. Simple yet powerful, and no software to install or download on your pc, the GCart offers a host of features including:

ADMIN AREA - PRODUCTS

  • Works with an unlimited number of products.*
  • Discount price feature.
  • Related products.
  • Exclude some or all products from being subject to vat.
  • Assign products to up to two different categories.
  • Specify individual product options - different sizes, colours, hand, specifications etc...
  • Specify product weight (used to calculate postage).
  • Basic stock control.
  • Upload up to 6 images per product plus 1 PDF file.*
  • Automatically creates the thumbnail images for you - no need to create 2 versions of each image yourself.

ADMIN AREA - SHOP MANAGEMENT

  • Flexible postage calculation - weight, number of products, or custom amount.

  • Charge different vat and delivery rates based on the customer's location if you sell outside the UK.

Once the GCart has been added to your Option C hosting package and configured, all you need to do is log in to your admin area, and start entering product information and images. As you create the product sections, the product pages are automatically created for you and integrated into the shopping section of your site. Once any basic (or complex) customisation has been completed, the database and your on-line store simply sorts itself out as you add items to it. Your customers can locate products by either:

  • Using the built-in search facility, which will display all products using the keyword used, and you can set a preference for each product in the admin area as to which products appear higher (or lower) in the results.
  • They can click on the section, group, or department headings, and view each product in that section. Clicking on the product image displays a larger version of the image for clarity.

Customers simply locate the product (or service) they are after, select from the drop down list the quantity they want, along with any options (if applicable), and this is added to their 'shopping cart'. Once the cart has everything they need, they simply click on 'proceed to checkout' where payment is made by credit or debit cards, or an invoice generated which they can print out and post off with a cheque.

Automatic e-mails are generated and issued to both you and the customer detailing the transaction.
